PURCHASING ASSISTANT – FURNITURE & LIGHTING

At our office facilities by the harbor edge in Horsens, you will become part of an energetic office community, consisting of approx. 130 colleagues looking forward to welcoming you in our team. The position is a maternity cover running for approximately one year starting in August 2024, and latest 1 September 2024.

About the job

As a Purchasing Assistant in our team, you will be part of a group of nine passionate and dedicated colleagues. Beside handling the daily operation, you will primarily be responsible for one or more suppliers for HAY Furniture & Lighting products on the daily business. You will be working closely together with your team members, the responsible Procurement Manager, Category Buyers, and the Sales Operations team.

More specifically, your tasks will include

Daily purchase of furniture-lighting finished goods covering spare parts, stocked goods, and to-order items Handling of request from Sales: requests, changes, cancellations etc. Working in Dynamics 365, related to order processing, items arrival, invoicing approval etc. Daily controlling and execution of administrative tasks Daily contact with suppliers Ensure good quality in your work and processes, good collaboration with the suppliers and timely deliveries  Ensuring fast, relevant, and pro-active back-office support incl. on-time communication to sales and suppliers Following-up on production and deliveries Monitoring stock Ad hoc tasks

Role expectations

As a person, you have an open and positive approach and are able to collaborate with people on all levels using tact and diplomacy Your flexible mindset makes it easy for you to adapt to a variety of tasks, working methods and situations You are independent, structured and used to handling multiple tasks simultaneously without losing focus You have excellent planning skills that enable you to maintain an overview when things often get busy Your analytical nature means you are well structured, fact-driven, and pay close attention to detail in all tasks and are willing to put in the extra effort to achieve a successful outcome You thrive on working in a fast-paced company with an unpretentious environment, where everyone works together towards a common goal

Experience required

You have proven experience from a similar purchasing and planning function Your educational background is within the supply chain, e.g., purchasing, logistics or business economics You possess strong analytical and negotiation skills You are a competent user of Microsoft Office Suite, and highly proficient in using Excel Any prior experience within D365 is a major advantage, but not essential Experience within retail/contract driven procurement is an advantage You are fluent in Danish and English, both in spoken and written communication
