Reporting Specialist, Sustainable packaging

It is crucial to our ambitions that we reduce the amount of our packaging, and that the packaging we use should be recyclable. Therefore, we have set an ambitious goal that by 2030, 100 percent of Danish Crown's products should be packaged in recyclable packaging. At the same time, we will reduce the amount of packaging, aiming to use 30 percent less by 2030 than we do today.

To assist driving sustainability initiatives, we are looking for a talented individual to join our small team in Group Procurement as a Reporting Specialist. 
You will be the go-to-expert on sustainable packaging materials, how to design packaging in a sustainable way and what to avoid. Our customers ask for packaging data, and you support proactively our customers as well as stakeholders internally with calculations on life cycle assessments (LCA).
You take the lead on specific tasks in our sustainable packaging strategy, i.e., securing materials from certified fibers as well as assisting in the integration of sustainable packaging master data.

The position is limited to 12 months and serves as a solid foundation for your further development within business processes and data analytics in larger global organizations.

Responsibilities

As a Reporting Specialist, you will:

• Perform LCA calculations and be the lead on the LCA tool
• Provide support on customer requests for packaging data
• Perform material analysis to support commercialization of sustainable packaging
• Drive our internal communication channel on Sustainable Packaging, namely our SharePoint Site
• Take the lead in integrating sustainable packaging data into our master data in SAP

Do you have what it takes? 

The ideal candidate also holds a Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration/Management, or a related field, and 2-3 years’ experience within data management from a similar position. This includes:

• Knowledge of various packaging materials, technologies, and their environmental impact
• Understanding of packaging design principles and optimization techniques
• Familiarity with sustainability principles and life cycle assessments
• Ability to conduct research, analyse data, and stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in sustainable packaging
• Capable of identifying packaging-related environmental challenges and proposing effective, innovative solutions
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel 
• Master English in writing and speaking at negotiation level.
