How you will make an impact
This is your chance to step into an essential role within a global FMCG market leader. Here, you will help Arla be a preferred business partner to our Danish accounts. In this role, you deliver compelling conclusions and recommendations for product range, price, promotion, place and product launches.
You will share your recommendations and analysis with the marketing and sales teams to develop robust customer and category plans and long-term strategies to optimize sales and help us ensure, that Arla’s relevance is clear to customers.
For about half of your time, you will work with Danish accounts in the convenience sector, mainly focusing on our beverage categories with brands as Cocio, Starbucks, Arla Protein and Matilde. The other half of your time, you will work internally with cross-market trends in our monthly Market Update, that is presented to all commercial functions in ADK. You will also be a part of larger strategic projects in close collaboration with your manager.
You can look forward to the following responsibilities:
Deliver recommendations to convenience customers and internally in the commercial part of Arla Denmark. Your recommendations are based on market insight and analysis using various systems and data sources, e.g. macro level tendencies, FMCG market development in general, retail sales, promotions, prices, shopper and consumer behaviour Take the lead in selected projects with strategic importance and impact for Arla Denmark Ensure proper planning of projects incl. defining deliveries, timelines, project organization, etc. and align with key stakeholders Provide detailed analysis of shopper and consumer trends and behaviour across our dairy categories to find white spots in the market Ad-hoc tasks, e.g. estimate promotion volume uplifts, create price overviews, create business cases and secure data quality Support development & review of strategies in close collaboration with sales and marketing, and independently drive larger ad hoc projects.
What will make you successful
We are looking for an independent Commercial Development Manager to proactively challenge how we and our customers think and act. We need you to drive continuous improvement and innovation in ways of working, processes, tools and research, and test and learn activities.
You have an educational background on Master´s level, could be within business or economics, or something else – it is a must though, that you have a natural flair for numbers and data management – yet take a pragmatic approach to data analysis. You bring 3+ years of experience working in or with FMCG´s.
You could have a consulting background or worked with market insights in the area of sales and marketing. Moreover you;
have a natural interest in shoppers and consumers and a broad understanding of the Danish retail and/or convenience market has excellent presentation skills – written (PPT) and when presenting in person to internal and external stakeholders find it easy and fun to communicate and cooperate with colleagues in a multi-stakeholder environment have experience in converting data and insights to commercial recommendations and actions are self-driven and can maintain an overview, but at the same time have an eye for details results-oriented, structured and dynamic has excellent skills in PowerPoint and Excel, and it is an advantage if you are a Power BI user speak and write English and Danish fluentlyWhat do we offer?
