Would you like to play an instrumental role in an expanding investment area that is poised for significant growth in the coming years? We are looking for an Investment Associate to join the Private Markets investment team within Nordea Asset Management.
Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is the centre of investment management in the Nordea Group and in the Asset & Wealth Management division. NAM is the largest asset manager in the Nordics with the vision of being a leading European Asset Manager. We want to do this by delivering returns with responsibility. We meet customer demands and guide our customers in the right direction in asset selection while ensuring prudent ESG practices. NAM has more than 900 employees servicing around 500 Nordic and international institutional clients.
About this opportunity
Welcome to the Private Markets investment team within Nordea Asset Management. The team manages a fast growing portfolio of funds and mandates across private equity, private credit, unlisted real assets and natural capital on behalf of Nordea Bank as well as external institutional clients. As a dedicated Investment Associate, you will play a valuable role in delivering best-in-class returns to our investors through executing and monitoring primary investments sourced from our extensive global private markets network.
In the role you will be expected to: Participate in all aspects of the investment cycle across primaries investments: sourcing and screening of new investment opportunities, development of investment theses and conduct due diligence, conduction financial analysis and valuation inputs and recurring monitoring and performance management of executed investments Prepare decision making materials for new primary investments Work closely with stakeholders in supporting investment announcements and reporting Collaborate with the broader private markets investment team on an ad hoc basis
You’ll join a committed, entrepreneurial and expanding team with passion for private markets. We welcome international candidates, but the relevant candidate should be based in either Copenhagen, Helsinki or Stockholm, or be able to relocate prior to starting.

Your experience and background: We imagine you hold a Master’s degree in finance/economics/business 2-4 years of relevant work experience from a private market investment team, investment banking or similar Previous experience within primary investments is considered a plus Proficiency in English as a working language
