About this opportunity

Welcome to Model Risk Management. We add value by keeping Nordea’s Model Risk stakeholders informed and updated on the state of their model risk. We design and maintain Nordea’s model governance framework, and support oversight through the Model Risk Committee. In this role, you’ll play a valuable part in our journey towards best practice model risk management.

What you’ll be doing: Support business, model developers and validators by providing oversight over internal, as well as regulatory standards for model governance Manage key stakeholders and deliveries, and coordinate model risk related activities across the Group Develop the risk appetite framework and risk taxonomy within Model Risk Coordinate and develop the Model Risk contribution to ICAAP and Internal Capital Requirements Establish and maintain model risk policies and guidelines in close cooperation with model validation teams and stakeholders across the group, as well as communicating changes to all stakeholders Ensure ongoing training on Model Risk management concepts for all stakeholders in Nordea Design and coordinate model risk reporting to the banks senior management bodies in close cooperation with model validation teams Coordinate issue management across the Model Risk and Validation department Maintain interactions with regulators on model risk related subjects

You’ll join a team of experienced model risk experts. The team is highly specialised and work in close collaboration with specialists across the Group. The role is based in either Stockholm, Helsinki, Warsaw or Copenhagen.

Your experience and background: Academic degree (at least Master's level) A solid understanding of risk management in banking Experience in interpreting legislation and translating into practice Have practical experience within risk management and implementation of risk management solutions and frameworks 3+ years' experience in the financial sector and preferably working with risk management (directly or through e.g. an audit or consultancy role) Knowledge of financial industry regulation Experience managing stakeholders at multiple levels of seniority
