We seek a Head of Customer Platforms for Nordea Life & Pensions (“NLP”) in Denmark. As Head of Pension Platforms, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly skilled applications developers, vendors and service delivery managers aiming at:

To ensure we deliver to our customer expectations proactively and professionally, you will be leading the developing and managing our Core Pension Platforms. This involves our Pension Administration Application (Keylane Plexus) and our Customer Advisory Tool (Keylane Obex) as the largest application.

You will be the daily responsible person defining and delivering roadmaps in tight collaboration with Business Development, Compliance, Customer Services and other business areas. You will be accountable and responsible for budgets, vendors, SLA & KPI follow-up, reporting, ensuring compliance, and audit within own domain. 

You will be part of the “Technology” department, in which we aim at building a best-in-class technology platform providing state-of-art solutions tailored to achieve our ambitious objectives. We embrace cloud and are properly the financial institution in Denmark furthest with implement a full cloud platform using Azure, Salesforce, Snowflake etc. “Technology” embodies a dynamic mix, combining a start-up mentality with well-established processes. We actively challenge the status quo, consistently questioning our approach while acknowledging that we don't need to address every aspect simultaneously. The environment at "Technology" reflects a balance, allowing us to navigate the complexities of our mission with agility and innovation.

Your responsibilities will include, while not be limited to: Develop, maintain and optimize our Core Pension Platforms, i.e. Pension Administration Application (Keylane Plexus Solution), Customer Advisory Tool (Keylane Obex Solution), OSIR (Archiving Solution) etc. 

Manage, scale, and optimize our Development Center in India 

Prioritize and implement strategic goals and application roadmaps.

Maintain focus on reusing, optimizing, and simplifying our application landscape, including ensuring high security and stability, minimizing incidents. 

Engage relevant stakeholders spanning various business units and vendors. 

Manage budgets, recruitment, vendors, SLA & KPI follow-up and ensure compliance and audit within own domain. 

Ensure the team is rightly skilled and staffed. 


The role is based in Copenhagen at our Nordea Metro office, which offers good transportation options as we are located next to the DR Byens metro station, and there are public parking spaces in the area.

You cooperate well with stakeholders on different levels of the organization, and you can drive strategic work independently. As this is a senior position with high level of complexity, we expect you to have years of experience from similar positions, not necessary from Pension but financial industry would be a plus as managing and championing customer relationship management and business development. 

Your experience and background:  Broad and relevant experience (minimum 10-15 years) working with application lifecycle management of core pension platforms from vendors such as Keylane, Edlund, Festina Nes Tech etc.  Strong experience in managing and optimization of core 3rd party vendors Capability to work distributed across on-location and off-shore/near-shore environments Strong communicator than can express complicated matters in an easy and graspable way in spoken and written communication Relevant and documented leadership experience Self-motivated, professional, high integrity with a balanced set of values reflecting high ethics Relevant education i.e. Bachelor's, PhD or Master’s degree Proficiency in Danish and English, both spoken and written
