Syddansk Universitet (SDU) aims to use, develop, and shape digital skills and solutions to leverage digital opportunities. We do this to create value for researchers, students, employees, and society. In order to do so, we must constantly evolve and adapt to a reality where digital changes and opportunities arise at an increasingly faster pace. One way we do this is by building new organizational capabilities.
One of the skills we are currently developing is the ability to test new solutions in a systematic and effective manner. When we focus on building capabilities at SDU, it goes beyond just a competence: we aim for SDU to eventually possess an organizational ability to test and ensure the quality of both new complete solutions, as well as releases and changes to existing systems, both centrally within the digital organization and across the organization. Therefore, we are looking for a test manager to support this initiative.
About the Position
Over the coming years, SDU will face a series of major system implementations and adaptations of our system landscape and business processes. While working on testing is not new for SDU, we aspire to strengthen and further develop our approach. As a test manager at SDU, you will be expected to:
- plan, manage, and conduct tests of software and features, integrations, data migrations, etc., at different stages of the development process
- lead and coordinate the testing efforts for a range of IT projects
- develop and implement test strategies and plans
- collaborate with developers, project managers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders
- contribute to the development of a broader testing capability within the organization
About You
We are seeking an individual who can work independently and apply their testing expertise in a large and complex organization. We are looking for a candidate who:
- has a strong testing expertise and understanding of the entire testing process, from documentation requirements and test cases to strategy and execution, and is eager to be a key player in all aspects of it
- is a constructive and solution-oriented collaborator and excels in working with various groups of professionals
- may also have experience in change management or previous experience in developing an organization's ability to work methodically with testing
About Us
SDU Digital is the focal point for SDU's digitization efforts across research, education, knowledge sharing, and administration. SDU Digital consists of the Design, Compliance, and Transformation departments, totaling around 45 employees. The main focus of SDU Digital is to support the university's digitization strategy, serve as a PMO, ensure a focus on information security and data protection, and be responsible for IT architecture, project management, and development with the aim of designing and developing integrated digital solutions.
