Role Purpose:

The main objective is to oversee the Nordic Cyber Lines portfolio and lead a Cyber Line team in alignment with the Nordic Cyber Lines Strategy.

  • Define the Nordic Cyber Lines Strategy and Action Plan
  • Provide strategic underwriting direction
  • Drive profitability and achieve financial targets for the portfolio across both countries as per the business plan
  • Maintain underwriting integrity through proper application of underwriting guidelines and controls, consistency in risk selection, pricing, and capacity utilization while considering market conditions
Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Goals: Assist in financial planning for the Nordic Cyber Line, ensuring goals outlined in the business plan are met. Deliver underwriting profit, meet financial targets including new business, retention, pricing, loss ratio, and business mix
  • Portfolio Integrity: Manage the portfolio, uphold underwriting integrity through effective communication, quality control, and quantitative underwriting reviews
  • Producer Management: Support direct reports to achieve business strategies, engage with Business Development to promote Product line strategies, and back producer management initiatives with key brokers and partners
  • Procedures: Develop and implement procedures for operational effectiveness, oversee peer review process, enforce regulatory requirements, and update underwriting guidelines
  • Operational Management: Develop business plans for direct reports, allocate resources, define underwriting authority levels, manage team performance, provide training and mentoring support
  • Chubb Representative: Represent Chubb, maintain contact with internal colleagues and clients, engage with major clients at a high level, and develop consistent strategies in the middle market segment
  • Adhere to Chubb ethical and service standards
Qualifications:
  • Degree level education
  • Specific insurance education
  • A Master's degree is a plus
Languages:

Proficiency in Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, and English

Experience:
  • Comprehensive understanding of specialist product lines, the insurance market, and competitors
  • Extensive experience in dealing with brokers and clients
  • Results-oriented with the ability to make decisions independently
  • Highly experienced professional with a strong external reputation
