DanChurchAid (DCA) is one of the significant Danish Humanitarian Non-Governmental organizations (NGOs) in Cambodia, working with local partner organizations to assist the poorest of the poor. Today, DCA works with relief and development aid in more than 30 countries in Africa, Asia, Central America, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. DCA is a faith-based, ecumenical, non-missionary organization rooted in the Danish National Evangelical Lutheran Church. DCA cooperates with other denominations, churches, and non-religious civil organizations. DCA Cambodia works with 20 NGO partners and has its implementation with 25 staff members.

Thus, DCA Cambodia is seeking an intern to support the finance team.

Overall Objective
To support finance during its current period of growth while also providing a university student with a learning experience.

Purpose
DCA Cambodia has 22 projects implemented by 20 NGO partners, which brings a heavier workload and increases requirements from different donors. The intern/volunteer will support the finance and admin team to achieve a better quality of work with good results.

Scope of work

  • Filing voucher, make photocopy invoice
  • Count office supplies, kitchen supplies, inventory
  • Invoice verification
  • Filling preparation: folder number with relevant info; Month, Year, PV # (start-end).. etc._
  • Upload documents to the Intranet when needed
  • Scan documents (contract, invoice...)
  • Assist in finding supporting documents.
  • Assist in checking advance requests with calculation
  • Assist in checking procurement documentation is completed as required in the checklist (for Simple and Negotiated procedure)
  • Other assigned tasks as required

Duration
The intern is expected to be hired for one year. The proposed starting date is 01/07/2024.

Payment Arrangement
The monthly fee will be paid monthly from the 25th of each month with a lump sum of USD 250, including phone card and fuel and 15% WHT. DCA will cover monthly NSSF.

DCA will arrange and cover per diem, transport, and accommodation when travel to the field is required. We will apply the same DCA staff.

Qualification requirements
Currently enrolled at university (accounting/banking/finance)

English proficiency is strongly preferred
