The Role

Are you looking for an opportunity where you work with all aspects of clinical trial budget oversight including development of budgets on clinical trials and programs in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders?

We are looking for a Manager, Clinical Trial Budget Oversight, who together with our Genmab team, will work to ensure a one-team culture with our external stakeholders and who excels in budget development and vendor management support. The Development Operations area at Genmab are working out of US, the Netherlands, Japan, and Denmark. You will report to Senior Director, Clinical Trial Budget Oversight in Development Operations.

This role is located in Copenhagen, Denmark and is hybrid.

Responsibilities
As member of the Clinical Trial Budget Oversight Team, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the clinical trial budget oversight manual.
  • Training of relevant personnel in clinical trial budgeting systems and procedures.
  • Securing a consistent implementation of clinical trial budgeting processes across the clinical trial portfolio.
  • Assisting relevant trial management personnel in day-to-day updates and maintenance of clinical trial budgets.
  • Developing new procedures / processes for updating and tracking clinical trial budgets.
  • Supporting the development of enhancements to systems used to maintain oversight of the clinical trial budgets.
  • Together with the R&D Finance organization, implementing periodic reviews and updates of the clinical trial budgets to improve their accuracy and reliability.
  • Actively participate in the semi-annually reviews and updates to the clinical trial budgets.
  • Supporting the monthly reporting and tracking of the clinical trial budgets to relevant management personnel.
  • Supporting relevant trial management personnel in reviewing relevant vendor contracts and the processing and tracking of vendor invoices.

Requirements

  • A BSc or MSc level within Accounting, Finance or Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and managing budgets, preferably working with clinical trial budgets.
  • Ability to perform detailed financial analyses.
  • Proficiency in Excel; preferably with hands-on experience in SAP, budget management, and modeling tools.
  • Skilled in strategic planning, budget oversight at trial and project levels, and quarterly budget updates.
  • Able to detect budget discrepancies and resolve complex financial issues.
  • Able to manage multiple aspects of budgeting across trials and projects efficiently.
  • Adaptable to new systems and processes with a forward-thinking approach to future budget management strategies.
