YOUR MISSION & RESPONSIBILITIES AHEAD OF YOU
As the Retail Area Manager Scandinavia, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our stores across the region. You will lead with a hands-on approach, ensuring operational excellence, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and supporting the ambitious growth of GANNI in Scandinavia.

Responsibilities ahead of you:

  • Operational Leadership: Be the bridge between the shop floor and the company, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of retail operations with GANNI's strategy.
  • Performance Management: Take ownership of the P&L for your area, drive sales growth, and ensure stores consistently achieve targets and KPIs. Develop and implement action plans to optimize profitability and efficiency.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure that every customer interaction reflects GANNI's values and delivers a best-in-class experience across all stores.
  • Team Development & Leadership: Hire, coach, and develop Store Managers and retail teams to create a high-performing, motivated workforce. Foster a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement.
  • Training & Standards: Ensure store teams adhere to visual merchandising (VM) guidelines and are up-to-date on product knowledge, service standards, and operational processes.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with the EMEA Retail Director and HR to align strategies, provide insights, and report on performance. Contribute to regional projects and initiatives that drive retail excellence.

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an Area Manager or in a similar leadership role in retail, preferably with knowledge of luxury, full-price stores and department stores.
  • Retail Operations Expertise: Proven experience in managing retail operations and driving profitability, with a solid understanding of P&L and KPIs.
  • Leadership Skills: A confident and inspiring leader with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage diverse teams across multiple locations.
  • Customer Focus: Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and aligning store operations with brand values.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving & Adaptability: A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is essential; fluency in Danish is a strong advantage.

You will be based in Copenhagen and will frequently travel within our stores in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. You will be reporting directly to the EMEA Retail Director, who is based in Paris.
