As the LMS Manager within our Professional Training team, you'll have a unique opportunity to lead the charge in optimizing our Learning Management System (LMS) to support our diverse training initiatives. Your role will be instrumental in overseeing the strategic implementation and day-to-day operations of our LMS, ensuring it serves as a dynamic platform for delivering impactful learning experiences.

As the LMS Manager, you'll take the helm in driving the evolution of our Professional Training platform. Your responsibilities will span from strategic planning to hands-on management of system configurations and user support processes. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align our LMS strategy with Unity's business objectives, product roadmap, and evolving learning needs.

The role also offers an exciting opportunity to build and shape the content delivery function to support the ongoing growth and success of Unity Professional Training. Long-term, it is envisioned that the LMS Manager will be provided the scope to add UI/UX designer, developer, community manager and other roles that provide a bridge between our customer, product, content, training and technical teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and execute a vision for the continuous improvement and optimization of our LMS, including leading on systems integration, platform customization and maintenance processes, ensuring the LMS meets the evolving needs of our learners, instructors, and administrators whilst aligning with Unity's broader training and development strategy.
  • Collaborate with the professional training team, including instructional designers, content developers, and subject matter experts to ensure seamless integration of learning content across the LMS platform.
  • Establish and track key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of our LMS in driving learning outcomes and supporting organizational goals, whilst ensuring the platform meets all required data security and privacy compliance standards.
  • Work with the broader team to provide guidance and support to users of the LMS, including troubleshooting technical issues, supporting the hosting of live sessions, and ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Manage relationships with the LMS vendor and third-party providers, overseeing contracts, service level agreements, and ongoing support.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience of managing an enterprise LMS with a proven track record of developing and growing a commercially focused training platform for a professional audience across a variety of modalities (on-demand video, virtual live sessions, gamification, community forums etc).
  • Systems integration and architecture knowledge, ability to work cross-functionally with developers and system engineers to build out an LMS that meets the dynamic needs of both internal and external stakeholders (user and subscriptions management, content testing, publication and localisation, training metrics etc).
  • Excellent data management, reporting and visualization skills, including strong knowledge of data and BI tools such as BigQuery, Looker Studio, Gainsight.
  • Experience of supporting client-facing teams to identify training opportunities, increase retention, and accelerate adoption/growth.
  • Significant understanding and appreciation of training content production pipelines and agile methodology.
