How you will make an impact
The Senior CAPEX Project Manager role is leading Arla´s CAPEX project portfolio across all Danish production sites. Leading the regional DK Engineering team, you are responsible for the planning and execution of our key strategic CAPEX projects and supporting the development of Engineering Standards and Ways of Working making sure these are implemented across the organization.

This position is a Senior Management role within the Engineering & Technology team reporting to the VP of Engineering & Technology and is also responsible for capability building in Denmark and talent development within the team.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing and animating a team of experienced engineering projects managers
  • Supporting Supply Chain Vice Presidents and Business Partners in assessing business cases.
  • Setting and driving alignment on KPIs across productivity, safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Working with Capex Procurement to develop, align and execute project sourcing strategies.
  • Assemble and manage project teams using internal and external resources & capabilities, managing communication to them and key stakeholders in the supply chain leadership team.
  • Planning and managing project budgets and cash flows.
  • Support local operations with project commissioning and manage the documentation to ensure the project is fully documented.
  • Being the "go to" person within CAPEX for the production sites in Denmark and wider organization.

What will make you successful
Your background could come from two different tracks. Either you have a degree in Engineering (or related) field with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience. Or, you might not be degree educated but have + 15 years of experience in engineering roles where you have delivered complex technical projects. Preferably this comes from a dairy, food or FMCG environment.

As a Senior Manager and leader of your team, you bring clear capabilities of managing all aspects of complex and challenging projects, with the ability to calmly deal with the unexpected. You bring strong leadership skills and can expertly work with others, such as Procurement, Finance, local site teams, Arla leaders and suppliers. Your strong stakeholder and communication skills enable you to build networks and drive decision making across a global matrix organisation. Your structured approach to projects allows you to balance priorities and set direction across multiple large, high profile projects.

You are passionate about manufacturing/engineering technology with the drive to manage change, improve our performance and create best in class production environments.

This position requires some travel time, generally (but not exclusively) within Denmark. Fluency in English is essential.
