Risk Oversight is part of SEB CRO function headed by the Chief Risk Officer of the bank. The CRO function is a global and independent control function and we are present in all countries where SEB operates. Our overall purpose is to understand the risk profile of SEB and to prevent SEB from taking excessive risk. In SEB these risks are primarily credit-, market-, liquidity and non-financial risks.

We are looking for an experienced candidate to head the Risk Oversight team in Denmark, consisting of three employees. In the role you will report functionally to the Head of Risk Oversight International and locally directly to the Country Manager of SEB Denmark.

As Head of Risk Oversight in Denmark your responsibilities include the monitoring, analysis, and communication of all the relevant risks relating to SEB AB Copenhagen to the branch management. We expect that you will uphold good relations with all business areas, mainly Corporate & Investment Banking and support functions, using excellent interpersonal skills combined with a good understanding of the various business activities. Within Risk Oversight we work closely across geographies and the different Risk functions in CRO to ensure alignment to all Group frameworks.

The position will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark. This requires the role holder to have a valid permit to live and work in Denmark.

Your main responsibilities
  1. Manager of the Risk Oversight team in Denmark
  2. Understand the local business profile, by knowing the business drivers and inherent risks
  3. Identify, measure, manage and monitor the risks according to set frameworks, tolerances and limits
  4. Communicate all relevant risks to local stakeholders and management team, and the global CRO function
  5. Work closely and support the business in understanding their risks
  6. Facilitate the identification of new and emerging risks together with the business
  7. Challenge and support the 1st line of defense in risk issues
  8. Understand local regulatory requirements on risk control as well as the impact of regulatory changes
  9. Run and participate in projects across all SEB AB geographies
Your profile
  1. Ability to think strategically and lead a team
  2. Strong stakeholder management skills
  3. Excellent communication and presentation skills
  4. High integrity and ethical standards
  5. Analytical skills and experience working with large amount of numerical data
  6. Ability to unite theory with practice
Your profile qualifications
  1. University degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or any other quantitative field
  2. Working experience in Risk and/or Trading area
  3. Working experience on Danish fixed income market, especially mortgage bonds is an advantage
  4. Knowledge of basic risk measurement, control, and reporting tools and processes
  5. Knowledge of Basel capital and liquidity regulations is an advantage
