We are currently looking for a technically proficient and proactive Operational / Technical Buyer – Electronics (EMS) to support our Procurement function in Virum.

You will play a pivotal role in managing the sourcing and procurement of electronic components and support manufacturing services (EMS), collaborating closely with our global commodity teams, engineering, and key stakeholders to ensure best-in-class supplier performance, cost-efficiency, and supply chain resilience.

Your Role

• Act as the commercial & technical interface for electronics procurement within Operations.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives and identify opportunities for value engineering.
• Manage product lifecycle events including PCN notifications, EOL/Last Time Buy assessments, and component transitions.
• Support NPI (New Product Introduction) projects with sourcing insights and supplier engagement.
• Maintain and update master data, including AVL, Country of Origin, Tariffs, RoHS, and REACH compliance.
• Build and sustain strong supplier relationships to ensure performance and continuity.
• Collaborate with Sourcing to conduct strategic price negotiations.
• Provide support on delivery issues, alternative components, and risk mitigation.
• Organize & participate in regular cross-functional and supplier meetings.
• Assist the operational procurement team with component and service acquisition through our ERP system.
• Monitor and report on spend related to electronics.
• Work with Engineering to align on commercial specifications (ComSpec), Engineering Change Requests (ECR), and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).

Your Profile

• Educational background in electronics, engineering, and/or commercial disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics or EMS procurement.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with electronic component markets and EMS supply chain dynamics.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is advantageous.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
