Project Planner

Topsoe is on a transformational journey towards becoming a global leader in delivering decarbonization technologies which has a significant impact on the project scopes we in Project Planning & Control are supporting throughout creation and execution.

The Project Planning & Controller has a significant role in the business process contributing to Topsoes delivery of basic engineering design documentation, proprietary hardware, site supervision and other services to our customers globally. The key task is to conduct project planning and project control activities from start to finish.

More specifically, you:

1. create project Work Breakdown Structures and cost budgets and do scheduling of project deliverables based on client contractual documents and internal templates
2. facilitate monthly updating and controlling of manhour and cost forecasts as well as schedules for all ongoing projects in close cooperation with project management and executional disciplines
3. secure control and overview of planned and actual progress on deliverables including 3rd party hardware fabrication
4. provide ongoing support to project management by use of SAP BW/BI reports, Power BI, and Excel Analyzer reports and must be an advanced user of Excel
5. conduct ad-hoc data analyses as well as ongoing reporting on our project execution performance to secure deep understanding of our project execution challenges and present key findings
6. facilitate effectful interaction internally in own team and with our key stakeholders

You will work with the planning tools SAP PS and MS Project as well as other IT tools. If you have limited or no specific SAP PS experience, we will ensure training as required.

What you'll bring

To excel in this position, you need to be highly organized and detail oriented. Flexibility and the ability to remain calm in the face of unexpected challenges are essential, as projects may not always go as planned and priorities can shift rapidly. Additionally, a natural talent for managing processes that involve multiple stakeholders is crucial for success in this role.

Additionally, preferably you:

1. already live in Denmark
2. have an engineering background or extensive project planning and controlling experience
3. are comfortable handling many projects in parallel
4. are innovative and curious with regards to improving tools and processes
5. have at least 3 years of practical experience in project execution, specifically in project planning, project scheduling, or project controlling
6. possess English skills on a business level.

Your new team
The Planner Group for Technology Projects is located mainly at our headquarters in Lyngby, Denmark. You will become part of a team-oriented group of 14 planners with a wide range of experience and a diverse cultural background. Team working is essential to our daily work, even though every planner is assigned to a separate portfolio of projects.
