KAYAK is seeking a pragmatic and data-driven Senior Director of Product Management to lead our Apps, AI, and Customer Acquisition & Retention Teams In this position, you will manage the innovation and development of some of KAYAK's most groundbreaking products like Trips, Price Alerts, and our AI roadmap (e.g. Ask Kayak Explore). This role requires a strong executive presence, technical savviness, and extensive travel domain and product management expertise. You will drive innovation, efficiency, and market-driven strategies to solve critical business challenges and exceed customer expectations. This role will be required to split time working from our Concord & Cambridge, MA offices at least 3 days per week. In this role, you will: - Lead product strategy for AI, Apps, & Customer Acquisition and Retention, aligning with the overall company vision and cross functional stakeholders. - Drive the execution of the product roadmap, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. - Utilize data-driven insights from market trends, customer feedback, and the competitive landscape to inform product priorities and decisions. - Simplify complex problems and present clear, actionable solutions. - Foster a culture of ambitious and fast-paced execution, relentless in the drive for impact across teams and functions. - Mentor and develop a high-impact team of product managers, ensuring excellence in PM artifacts (roadmaps, backlogs, PRDs) and data-driven decision making. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Commercial teams to understand feedback and discuss trade-offs. - Ensure all product managers are deeply familiar with key usage metrics and can use this data to drive decisions. - Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and inform product development decisions. - Act as a storyteller, effectively communicating product vision and strategy across the company and to external stakeholders. Please apply if you have: - Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, finance, economics, or related disciplines. MBA preferred. - 10+ years of proven experience in product management, with a preference for candidates with experience in Apps and/or Travel and a record of growth in responsibilities; half of which leading a product team. - Strong executive presence with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. - Proven track record articulating a team vision and translating technical concepts into broadly understood material. - Ability to navigate ambiguity and organizational complexities, moving seamlessly from high-level strategy to detailed problem solving. - Market-driven approach with a strong understanding of best-in-class companies in e-commerce, mobile, and travel. - Technical savviness and the ability to drive AI and innovation initiatives. - Demonstrated experience in data motivated decision-making and project management.
