About the BRIDGE programme
The BRIDGE programme is a strategic initiative at Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (SUND) funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) and aims to strengthen translational research in Denmark by bridging research between the university, clinics and life science industry. The programme trains and educates excellent young researchers in areas that are necessary to carry out translational research at the highest level. The programme is implemented in close collaboration with mentors in the biomedical and clinical areas and has a full academic curriculum of courses within topics such as omics, big data and machine learning, ethics, pharma and science communication.
The programme is led by a Programme Chair and an Educational Co-Chair advised by a Scientific Committee, an Educational Committee and an International Advisory Board. The programme is run by the programme secretariat consisting of a Programme Manager, Programme Coordinator and Course Coordinator and is physically located at Panum, SUND.

The University of Copenhagen is establishing a new, joint university administration that supports the entire university. BRIDGE is anchored in this unit.
Course Coordinator
As the Course Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the BRIDGE Academic Curriculum and its courses. You will lead the implementation of new course initiatives and drive the continuous development of the curriculum in close collaboration with the Programme Management and the course directors.
Your tasks:
- Be primarily responsible for the coordination, operation, and processes related to the BRIDGE Academic Curriculum and its courses.
- Manage course logistics, including the annual scheduling of courses, drafting contracts with external course directors, holding meetings and maintaining day-to-day contact with course directors, booking venues, procuring course materials, arranging catering, coordinating online and oral course evaluations, administering attendance and grading, producing course transcripts, and liaising with guest lecturers.
- Responsible for administering and developing the programme's course rooms on Absalon (UCPH's online course platform).
- Provide study planning and counselling for the programme's postdoctoral fellows regarding parental leave, sickness, vacation, and requests for dispensation.
- Responsible for budgeting, accounting, and financial management for the Academic Curriculum and its related initiatives.
- Collect, analyse, and compile data on the progress of the Academic Curriculum, courses, lecturers, and fellows' course activity to generate statistics, reports, and insights for curriculum development and impact assessment.
- Coordinate and administer the process for open BRIDGE courses.
- Write content for the annual report and grant applications, prepare presentations for meetings and conferences, and edit materials and information on the BRIDGE website.
- Edit course descriptions on kurser.ku.dk and facilitate the biennial revision and quality check of course descriptions.
- Advise and provide strategic and administrative support to the Programme Management, the Educational Committee, individual course directors, as well as the Course Director Forum, in relation to the development, coordination, and execution of courses.
Your profile:
- You have a master's degree in a relevant field and /or experience in educational development and coordination, preferably within continuing education at a university. A background in education and university pedagogy, either from research, administration, or both, is an advantage.
- You have experience in developing and managing administrative processes, particularly within course coordination, study administration, and study counselling. You can advise and support postdocs on study planning, parental leave, illness, and dispensations. Familiarity with Absalon and kurser.ku.dk is preferred.
- You have a good understanding of budgeting, pricing, and accounting, as well as the financial structures within a university setting.
- You have strong communication skills in Danish and English, both written and spoken, and can tailor your messaging to different audiences. You are comfortable engaging with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) and other relevant digital tools, such as Zoom, Teams, Tableau, WorkZone, SurveyXact, and RejsUd/IndFak.
- You have experience in planning and facilitating meetings, courses, and networking activities—both in-person and online.
- You are structured and detail-oriented while maintaining a good overview. You can work with a high degree of independence, but you also thrive in a collaborative team environment. You are flexible and able to prioritise and navigate in a dynamic setting with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
We offer:
- A position with the possibility of high level of influence on a novel transformative postdoctoral programme.
- An attractive, stimulating and diverse job in a well-driven organisation.
- A workplace where tasks are solved team-based with mutual respect for each other's competences.
