Network Administrator to IP Backbone

Are you ready to support Denmark's critical infrastructure?

As part of our IP Backbone team in Aarhus, you will be highly involved in developing and maintaining TDC NET's fundamental network infrastructure. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced network technology in an environment that values technical skills and teamwork.

About the job

The team in Aarhus consists of technically skilled specialists who manage the operation and maintenance of our core network infrastructure. The work is conducted in a team-based environment, where everyone contributes to the network's 24/7 operation year-round. The team ensures continuous coverage, and you will also participate in an on-call roster to maintain network availability.

As part of the team, you will not only be part of the daily operations but also take part in future projects. More specifically, your key responsibilities will be:

  1. Participation in network implementation and operations tasks within specific areas
  2. Technical coordination and interfacing with supporting departments
  3. Documentation and automation of processes
  4. Participation in project teams
About you

The most important qualifications for the job are:

  1. Experience with TCP/IP, routing protocols like ISIS and BGP, and switch technology
  2. Proficiency in networking platforms such as Cisco IOS, Cisco IOS-XR, Juniper Junos, or Nokia SR OS
  3. Knowledge of basic transmission technology
  4. Knowledge of Linux or BSD
  5. Proactive troubleshooting and bug fixing
  6. Fluency in written and spoken English (Danish skills are preferred but not required)

In addition, it is beneficial if you have experience with:

  1. Automation (programming and scripting, e.g., Python or Perl)
  2. Documentation
  3. DevOps

Furthermore, you are required to obtain security clearance.
