A leading energy trading firm in Aarhus is seeking an Intraday Power Trader to optimize short-term power trading across European markets. The company is known for its innovative approach and commitment to sustainability.
Role Overview:
The Intraday Power Trader will be responsible for monitoring and trading power positions in real-time, maximizing profitability while managing risk. This role requires quick decision-making and a deep understanding of European power markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Trading: Execute intraday power trades based on real-time market conditions and grid dynamics.
- Strategy Development: Implement and refine trading strategies to capture market opportunities.
- Risk Management: Manage trading risks within set limits and report on trading performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with scheduling, operations, and risk teams to ensure efficient power delivery and compliance.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 2 years in intraday power trading, with a solid track record in CWE markets.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in trading platforms, and advanced Excel. Knowledge of Python is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
