Do you thrive on empowering teams to build scalable, beautifully designed and impactful systems? As an Engineering Manager at e-conomic, you will guide the Design System and Frontend teams to deliver user experiences that matter. Through your team's talent and collaboration, you'll shape tools used by hundreds of thousands of businesses across Denmark, ensuring high-quality design and seamless functionality.
As Engineering Manager, you'll lead our Design System and Frontend teams, with a key focus on growing and developing your people. You'll work closely with UX and PMs to ensure your teams deliver the critical core services to enable all product teams to deliver value for our 220,000+ customers.
Your role is to create an environment where your team thrives through open communication, regular feedback, and clear goal-setting. You'll support their professional growth, help them navigate challenges, and make sure they have the space to do their best work. At the same time, you'll drive technical strategy and advocate for consistency and standards across the organization, and optimize output of the teams.
What You'll Do Day-to-DayYou'll be reporting to our Head of Engineering, Thomas Hector , whois looking for the right person to help shape and strengthen his teams. We'll walk you through the organizational setup later in the process so you get a clear sense of where you fit in and the impact you'll have.
In the next section, you'll learn more about your daily tasks, but don't expect a rigid checklist. You'll have plenty of room to shape your own workday and influence how we build and grow together.

The team consists of three engineers, including a team lead.
They drive best practices for frontend development and cross-functional integration.
While a solid understanding of frontend technologies and design systems is valuable, what we value most is your commitment to supporting your team and helping them thrive. Relevant technical knowledge is a plus, but not essential, which is why we've listed team-focused experience first.
