About the job

We are looking for an ambitious Lead Digital Designer to join our in-house marketing team and to lead our international web experience efforts, user experience, and top-of-funnel interactions, with a strong focus on web design, messaging, and site architecture.

The ideal candidate has an interest in basic front-end and possesses a deep understanding of modern web aesthetics, mobile-first design, and responsive design, with the ability to create seamless, engaging experiences across various devices. In this role, you will take ownership of the website’s design, driving innovation and ensuring it aligns with current trends, user-centred web design best practices, and ultimately drives our business forward.

In other words, you will:

  • Lead the design of web interfaces with a focus on modern aesthetics, architecture, and a consistent, user-friendly experience across all devices.
  • Collaborate with other designers, developers, and stakeholders to define and implement solutions for web direction, visuals, user experience, and web architecture.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing together with the dedicated team to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups that clearly illustrate design ideas and interactions.
  • Implement and analyse A/B tests to optimize user experience and meet company goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in web and mobile design, with a focus on modern web design aesthetics and trends.
  • Advocate for user-centred design principles throughout the organisation.
  • Take a proactive role in the website's overall design strategy and structure, building design systems that ensure scalability and design consistency.

The ideal candidate

Our next colleague comes with 4+ years of experience in responsive web design with a strong portfolio showcasing your work particularly in web design and architecture. In addition, we imagine that you have:

  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS, with a solid understanding of how designs are built and implemented on the web; JavaScript knowledge is a plus.
  • A strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first design strategies.
  • Experience in A/B testing methodologies and tools to increase user engagement and conversion rates.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and articulate design concepts effectively.
  • Experience with WordPress and Elementor for building and managing responsive websites.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro/Adobe After Effects is a plus.
