Senior Manager, eCommerce Development of Emerging Capabilities & Channels

Role overview
You’ll be joining the Global Go To Market team, leading the development and embedment of emerging channels and capabilities within eCommerce for Carlsberg.

By anchoring to our global Sail’27 strategy and driving this development, you will ensure that Carlsberg transforms our sales not just within eCommerce but using eCommerce as a tool to transform total sales.

Through working with leading agencies and via innovation, adoption, and adaption of new and current Carlsberg processes and systems, you will lead the agenda in 3 key areas: winning the Digital Shelf, O2O, and eWholesale.

What you’ll be doing

  • Growing our sales in the O2O channel (Food Delivery Service and quick commerce) as well as growing total sales using O2O as a tool to transform ways of working.
  • Ensuring our knowledge and competency within the O2O channel is first-rate, up-to-date and comprehensive, covering industry knowledge of players, markets, latest innovations, competitor activities, consumer behaviours, the path to purchase, media capabilities, ways of working, etc.
  • Develop an understanding of eCommerce in the wholesale channel including the scale, size and retailer capabilities within the channel across all our markets.
  • Support markets transform ways of working with wholesale ensuring that we move from operating in a traditional model to a model that is reflective of the sales mix and direction of travel of that mix within the channel.
  • Driving the global adoption and embedment of Digital Shelf tracking throughout eCommerce, sales, marketing and leadership functions across and above the market.
  • Drive the embedment of Digital Shelf into our global execution model, FIT, as well as building and embedding long-term plans to increase the number of tracked KPIs increasing the effectiveness of Digital Shelf.
  • Manage our Global Digital Shelf tracking agency, working with them on developments, market integrations and optimising for FIT.
  • Clearly define projects and programme deliverables which are aligned with our Sail27 strategy.
  • Align with regional leads, market eCommerce leads and functional leads to drive the embedment of successful projects into processes within markets.
  • Build timelines, set targets and manage the performance of deliverables.

What we're looking for

  • 10 years of experience working within eCommerce, including 4+ years in leadership roles.
  • Significant background in stakeholder influencing, including experience leading agendas within a matrix organisation.
  • Proven capabilities in delivering programs, business development, innovating within eCommerce and growing eCommerce.
  • Advanced project management experience and a tireless drive to deliver.
  • A futurist mindset, with the energy to bring people on a journey.
  • A decide fast, fail fast and deliver with excellence mentality.

You are an ideal candidate if you are:

  • Highly eCommerce literate and innovative.
  • Very knowledgeable of agencies around the world that have capabilities to support eCommerce.
  • Great communicator and relationship builder.
  • Commercial and analytical.
  • Self-starter, persistent and entrepreneurial.
