Job Description

As a senior software engineer within the manufacturing domain, you will be part of making architectural decisions, developing software, and deploying technology throughout all manufacturing sites that support LEGO production

Core Responsibilities

  1. Develop, operate, and maintain robust and scalable solutions, used in factories all over the world.
  2. Nurture and facilitate a phenomenal engineering culture with focus on good craftsmanship.
  3. Explore new technologies and methods, finding opportunities for our platforms.
  4. DevSecOps: “you build it - you own it” (and run it) with a keen eye on secure code and security by design.
  5. Enable security and privacy by design in a non-blocking way, throughout the development cycle.
  6. Mentoring other software engineers and help level-up their understanding of application design and development.
  7. You should expect some travel to our production sites (maximum 4 times a year a week every time).

You’ll be part of a dynamic Software Engineering competence group within the global Manufacturing Technology domain, responsible for delivering innovative software and technology solutions to manufacturing sites worldwide.

The team is organized into three sub teams. The current team is working on implementation of sustainability agenda within packing Production portfolio. While this is the initial focus, the scope across the full Packaging portfolio is flexible and updated quarterly, reflecting a dynamic and adaptable approach to our work.

Do you have what it takes?

  1. 3-5 years of experience in software development and architecture.
  2. Knowledge of cloud and the corresponding services and architecture design patterns, like event driven architectures and microservices.
  3. Proficient in modern object-oriented programming languages, preferably C#.
  4. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and git-based source control.
  5. Strive in building high quality REST APIs.
  6. Standout colleague and ability to communicate and guide others.

Nice to have

  1. Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  2. Knowledge of OPC-UA architecture.
  3. Experience with front-end framework, like React or Blazor.
  4. Experience with Databricks or similar data processing platforms.
  5. Queuing and streaming data with Apache Pulsar.
  6. Experience with AWS or Azure implementations.
