Job Description

#LI-AG1

Are you a gifted Creative problem solver and strong Conceptual thinker – interested to help craft the communication of one of the most iconic brands in the world?

A handful of loose LEGO bricks can be combined and recombined to build hundreds of fresh and distinct expressions – from funny to inspiring, playful to iconic. If words are your LEGO bricks, then you are the person Our LEGO Agency (OLA) are looking for

Please note that relocation support is not offered for this role.

Core Responsibilities

You will collaborate with creative colleagues to deliver campaigns across all LEGO channels and work with various internal partners to bring inspiring ideas to life. More specifically you will:

  • Write, write, write – deliver copy in flawless English that encourages, is direct and explains the power of LEGO play. You’ll write everything from manifestos to scripts, headlines, social, and more.
  • Make creative leaps and identify campaign ideas based on strategic understanding.
  • Build and structure strong on-the-point presentations and ensure the creative work is communicated in the clearest and most inspiring way possible.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to make informed creative decisions and other partners (i.e., Strategy, DI, OLA HUBs, Channels, Markets, Marketing, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with producers during the production phases acting as senior sparring partner and/or the creative lead from pre-production to delivery.
Play your part in our team succeeding

You will be part of Our LEGO Agency in Billund, a global in-house creative agency that does it all – from our big brand commercials to this morning’s LEGO Group story.

We sincerely believe a Creative Specialist to be more than just a copywriter; you're a creative polymath, and that's how we'll treat you. You will naturally take the lead role and facilitate brainstorms/workshops to manage the creative progression and lead the team to the best solution

Do you have what it takes?
  • +5 years experience in copywriting ideally in an ad agency or in-house creative department.
  • Experienced with various marketing tactics & channels: film, organic social, influencer marketing, experiential activations, digital content.
  • A self-starter, able to work independently or in a team, with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Strong collaborator.
  • Superb communication and presentation skills and your written English is flawless.
  • A kid at heart – you’re fun and curious.
  • Experience working with STEM or children’s brands is an advantage but not a must.
  • A standout portfolio that shows your skills and instinct as a writer and a creative leader.

Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. However, please note we do amend or withdraw our jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including prior to any advertised closing date. So, if you're interested in this role we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

What’s in it for you?

Here is what you can expect:

  • Family Care Leave - We offer enhanced paid leave options for those important times.
  • Insurances – All colleagues are covered by our life and disability insurance which provides protection and peace of mind.
  • Wellbeing - We want our people to feel well and thrive. We offer resources and benefits to nurture physical and mental wellbeing along with opportunities to build community and inspire creativity.
  • Colleague Discount – We know you'll love to build, so from day 1 you will qualify for our generous colleague discount.

  • Workplace - When you join the team you'll be assigned a primary workplace location i.e. one of our Offices, stores or factories. Our hybrid work policy means an average of 3 days per week in the office. The hiring team will discuss the policy and role eligibility with you during the recruitment process.

Children are our role models. Their curiosity, creativity and imagination inspire everything we do. We strive to create a diverse, dynamic and inclusive culture of play at the LEGO Group, where everyone feels safe, valued and they belong.
