Control center operator at the heart of the Nordic Green Transition

Nordic RCC is looking for candidates with a technical background and interest in the role as operator in our control center. Key Responsibilities For The Operator Role
- Participating in the 24/7 control center shift roster: morning 07-14, Afternoon 14-21, and night 21-07.
- The night shift function is, for the time being, a "resting" function at the Nordic RCC premises. When alerted, your responsibility is to enter the control center within minutes, intervening in the operational challenge faced.
- Become an expert in executing the services provided from the 24/7 Nordic RCC control center.
- Maintaining your qualifications and knowledge in the operator control systems.
- Interface to the Nordic TSOs control centers.
- Cooperate with the TSOs securing the process of services.
- Troubleshoot and fix challenges in the services together with NRCC IT support.
Additionally, Depending On The Candidate
Responsibilities, besides the operator role, can be expanded to other areas within operational back-office tasks or project work based on the profile, qualifications, and interests of the candidate. Shifts are expected to take up 50-70% of working time on average.
Other Working Areas Can Be
- Involvement in testing system updates and features to be introduced to the control center.
- Quality assurance and updating operational procedures.
- Shift planning responsibilities.
- Quality assurance and data retrieval for operational reporting.
- Provide analytical insights on operational planning scenarios.
- Communication and coordination with Nordic TSOs on operational improvements and data exchange.
- Develop and maintain training programs for existing and new employees.
- Participation in international development projects, e.g. with ENTSO-E.
You are structured and can appreciate a fast-paced environment from time to time. On a personal level, you are open-minded, team-oriented, and take responsibility. You have an international mindset and an excellence at working within structured patterns, at the same time the ability to maneuver within a huge spectrum of corner cases quickly, reliably, and independently.
We are not looking for a specific educational background, but an engineering, marine engineering (Maskinmester) or similar technical or data-scientific background is preferred. What is more important is your profile as a whole and how you are assessed to fit within the Nordic RCC organization.
Employment Conditions
Nordic RCC is an international office, so fluency in spoken and written English is required as well as a motivation for working in an international environment. You will join a company of competent, diverse, and enthusiastic colleagues and at times work in virtual teams with expert colleagues from the Nordic TSOs and potentially from all of Europe.
Your daily workplace will be in our newly furnished office premises in Copenhagen Towers, Ørestad. When not on shift in our control center, we are offering workplace flexibility to ensure a healthy work-life balance including the possibility for working from home some of your worktime.

The position is conditioned upon a satisfactory background check as well as a national security clearance, both of which will be facilitated by Nordic RCC.
