Team Lead, Accounts Payable

You’ll play an important role in:
- Hiring, training, and developing team members, as well as assigning tasks, setting goals, and providing guidance and support.
- Ensuring that the team operates efficiently, meets deadlines, and maintains a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Monitoring the performance of the accounts payable function, identifying bottlenecks or areas for improvement, and implementing changes accordingly.
- Analysing data to identify trends, discrepancies, or potential cost savings.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless processes and provide input and support for strategic initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to accounts payable.
To succeed in the role, you:
- Have more than 5 years’ experience in end-to-end accounts payable and at least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Have solid knowledge of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Foster a positive work environment, motivate your team, and provide guidance and support when needed.
- Establish strong internal controls to mitigate risks and prevent fraud or errors.
- Are proficient in SAP ERP.
- Seek opportunities for process optimisation, cost savings, and better utilisation of resources.
