We are seeking a strategic, hands-on, and results-driven Director of Organic Performance to steer and enhance our online presence across multiple markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of navigating a company to a market-leading position through effective organic strategies. This role will oversee organic growth in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Estonia, with a strong focus on our Scandinavian markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Implement Strategy: Develop, implement, and personally execute comprehensive organic growth strategies to increase Klar's online visibility and market share across all our markets.
  2. Lead and Grow Team: Lead and grow a small team of SEO specialists, fostering their development and expanding the team as needed.
  3. Coordinate Across Departments: Work closely with Paid Performance, Marketing, and Tech departments to ensure alignment and collaboration on organic growth initiatives.
  4. Enhance Local SEO: Evolve Klar's current local SEO approach to a more outspoken strategy that drives relevance with our customers across all local markets.
  5. Oversee SEO Initiatives: Lead SEO initiatives, including on-page and off-page optimization, technical SEO, and expanded local SEO strategies.
  6. Collaborate on Content: Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure SEO alignment in content creation and digital marketing efforts.
  7. Analyze Performance: Analyze website performance, user behavior, and market trends to inform strategy and tactics.
  8. Optimize Website: Work with the Tech department to implement SEO best practices and optimize website performance.
  9. Report and Track KPIs: Set KPIs and report on organic performance metrics to senior management.
  10. Optimize Online Presence: Enhance our online presence for both DIY customers and those seeking professional services.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. 7+ years of experience in SEO or organic growth roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  3. Proven track record of improving organic search rankings and driving traffic growth for e-commerce and home improvement.
  4. Demonstrated success in taking a company to a market-leading position through organic growth strategies.
  5. Deep understanding of SEO best practices, Google algorithms, and search console tools.
  6. Experience in evolving local SEO strategies to broader, more impactful approaches.
  7. Strong analytical skills with experience in using data to drive decision-making.
  8. Proficiency in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar platforms.
  9. Hands-on mentality and willingness to personally execute strategies alongside the team.
  10. Fluency in English and at least one Scandinavian language (Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian).
  11. Ability to develop and implement strategies across multiple markets, with a focus on Scandinavian countries.

The office location:

Klar is a Scandinavian organization with offices in Denmark and Estonia. Our headquarters and factory are located in Estonia, Tartu - but you will be working with our vibrant team in our Copenhagen-based office located in Nørrebro - Schiller House. Our Copenhagen-based office is well connected to several public transportation points (bus and s-train stations within 2 min walk) and has access to a large parking lot (if you are not a big fan of cycling).
