At Siemens Gamesa, we are constantly seeking talented individuals to join our team and support our focus on energy transformation.

For our Turbine Measurement Operation department, we are looking for an Electrical Measurement Engineer to join our team in Brande. The Turbine Measurement Operation department works closely with project managers, skilled technicians, and the measurement system group to solve the tasks of providing data for validation of some of the world's largest wind turbines. You will experience an enthusiastic and diverse work environment with a mixture of planned and unforeseen tasks. All together we are providing the experimental data from full scale testing of prototypes with the purpose of verification and validation of our wind turbines.

How to contribute to our vision:
As our new Electrical Measurement Engineer, you will work daily with wind turbine parts and various measurement and sensor technologies.

In short, you will be:

  • Designing and developing the electrical setups around measurement systems.
  • Contributing to the establishment and maintenance of our electrical setups for sensor and measurement systems.
  • Working on quality improvements and ensuring proper electrical protections, including shielding and grounding of measurement signals.
  • Reviewing requirements.

What you need to make a difference:
Besides a passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance of leading the change, we are also looking for a motivating team player who is resilient, detail-oriented, responsible, and structured. You are motivated by providing quality results within deadlines and are happy to work in a dynamic organization and environment.

In addition, it is essential you have:

  • A master’s degree in electrical engineering, or a similar field related to electrical design for measurement techniques.
  • Experience with troubleshooting in electrical designs, mainly related to EMC influence.
  • Hands-on experience with design of electrical systems for measurements (e.g., strain or electrical).
  • Knowledge of high voltage measurements and analysis.
  • A methodical and structured working approach.
  • A desire to get involved in the practical aspects of measurements and to undertake research to test or analyze the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems.
  • Experience with Python or Matlab would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of measurement of structural quantities, test execution (in situ or lab), measurement technology, and sensor technology would be preferred.

You do not necessarily need vast work experience. Bright, motivated, and fresh minds with new perspectives are very welcome to apply. It is important that you are creative, curious, flexible, and willing to learn.

It is also important that you have excellent English language skills, both written and spoken. It is considered an advantage if you speak Danish as well.

In return for your commitment, we offer you:
Become a part of our mission for sustainability: Clean energy for generations to come. We are a global team of diverse colleagues who share a passion for renewable energy and have a culture of trust and empowerment to make our own ideas a reality. We focus on personal and professional development to grow internally within our organization. Siemens Gamesa offers a wide variety of benefits such as flexible working hours as well as home-office possibilities for many colleagues, employer-funded pension, attractive remuneration package (fixed/variable), and local benefits such as subsidized lunch, employee discounts, and much more.
