Sales > Global Offshore Business Plan

The Global Offshore Business Plan Program is a cornerstone of Vestas' strategic ambition to guide the global offshore wind market. Anchored in the Global Sales (CSO) organization, the program operates with an end-to-end (E2E) approach across the full value chain, characterized by autonomy, responsibility, and high visibility from upper management.

The program's core mission is to steer mid- to long-term strategic and commercial planning, aligning with Vestas' overarching goal: How can Vestas become a global leader in offshore? We integrate and align functional and regional offshore plans into a unified Offshore Business Plan to achieve this. The program serves as a strategic advisor, steering decisions and providing actionable recommendations that shape the future of Vestas' offshore business.

Our mandate is to:

1. Challenge paradigms by questioning the status quo
2. Identify gaps/opportunities across the value chain and support with shaping and implementing solutions
3. Deliver in-depth analyses and recommendations that enhance performance and strengthen our position in the offshore sector

A cornerstone of our process is the quarterly business plan updates, governed by our senior offshore management team. These updates provide a structured platform to report progress, align priorities, and secure approvals from Executive Management and the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

As Lead Specialist for Vestas' Global Offshore Business Plan, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our offshore business. Joining a collaborative and enthusiastic team, you will contribute directly to advancing Vestas' strategic goals and offshore leadership aspirations.

• Reporting to the Vice President of the Global Offshore Business Plan, your key responsibilities will include:
• Plan and facilitate senior offshore leadership governance meetings to ensure coordination, progress, and execution across offshore strategy and priorities
• Oversee and deliver high-impact strategic and commercial projects in collaboration with cross-functional and regional teams
• Ensure seamless strategy communication, alignment, and collaboration across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders

This role offers the opportunity to influence Vestas' growth trajectory in offshore wind directly, blending strategic oversight with hands-on execution.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should be an experienced consultant or project manager with experience in industries such as heavy industrial, construction, or manufacturing. The ideal candidate will bring the following qualifications and experiences:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in management consulting, specialty consulting, or a large in-house consulting function, focusing on business analysis, strategy development, and implementation
• A history of effectively guiding large-scale projects, programs, or strategic initiatives within complex business environments
• Comprehensive understanding of industry complexity, including financial, competitive, commercial, operational, technological, and regulatory dimensions
• Experience navigating and thriving in a complex, international corporate culture
• A Master's degree in a relevant field (preferably business, finance, or engineering)
• Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written

• Confident in interacting with senior and executive management, driving decision-making, and leading complex discussions in a structured, fact-based manner
• Demonstrates a high level of motivation and initiative, paired with uncompromising ethical and compliance standards
• Skilled at setting the agenda and maintaining a clear overview, even in a complex and fast-paced organizational environment
• Combines pragmatism with exceptional analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative) to effectively solve challenges and deliver results
• Possess advanced top-down communication skills, including verbal, written, and visual communication tailored to diverse audiences
• Displays a high degree of cultural awareness and sensitivity, fostering collaboration and alignment across diverse teams
