Are you driven by transformation, influence, and delivering to high professional standards? We are looking for a Senior Communications Specialist who can deliver and execute a solid strategy and plans for our Group IT team to ensure:

  • that we use the communications toolbox effectively in our leadership and direction setting
  • that we develop, implement and govern standardised change communication strategies and materials related to Group IT’s comprehensive transformation programme

You will report to the Chief Digital & Information Officer and have a dotted line to STARK Group’s Chief Communications Officer. We trust you to guide us and deliver not only great strategies but also solid deliverables when working with Group IT’s management team members, its change management team, and communications professionals across our operations in the Nordics, Germany, Austria, and the UK.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Support the CDIO and IT Management Team in effectively using communications in their leadership and direction setting.
  • Develop, hold and execute a plan for the leadership team’s and the IT organisation’s active engagement with various stakeholders across our Group.
  • Craft, execute and govern compelling content (including newsletters, content hubs/intranet, posts, etc.) that highlights the Group IT team's transformation, projects, and innovations in ways that make complex IT topics relatable and engaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Craft, execute and govern standardised change communications strategies, concepts, and materials.
  • Engage with communications teams across STARK Group to ensure alignment on group-wide (IT) agendas and messaging.

We expect you to lead our communications efforts in Group IT with a clear focus on establishing and advancing these significantly, as well as building strong relations and engagement with colleagues across the IT and communications organisations. To be successful in your role, you will:

  • Have a straightforward, can-do, and hands-on attitude to your assignments.
  • Support and be a trusted advisor to STARK Group IT’s CDIO and other management team members on communications issues and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain effective communications channels (e.g. intranet, Viva Engage etc.)
  • Develop standardised change communications strategies, concepts and materials and bring these to life.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with communications professionals across STARK Group’s communications teams.

Welcome to Group IT

By joining STARK Group, you will become part of a successful, industry-leading company that has quadrupled its size over five years. We have embarked on a significant growth and transformation programme with the intention to grow and consolidate our market.

Delivering to a building site every ten seconds through a complex distribution and logistics setup requires a robust digital foundation. Since 2022, our Group IT team has focused on renewing this foundation to enhance processes, create synergies, and provide value-adding services that address customer pain points.

The Group IT team is dynamic and rapidly evolving into becoming a recognised business partner that enables our Group to achieve our strategic objectives through a scalable and future-fit IT landscape and operating model. To enable this, we seek to leverage the benefits of agile values and methods and facilitate a continuous delivery model in seamless collaboration with local business units.

The Group IT teams have colleagues across the Nordics, Germany, the UK, Portugal and Poland. This role can either work out of Skanderborgvej in Viby/Aarhus or Frederiksberg, Denmark. Expect some travelling. We embrace flexible working but expect you to work from our offices at least three days a week.

What we offer

  • Ample opportunities to contribute to the success of one of the most exciting digital transformation journeys.
  • Trust in you guiding and delivering leadership and change communications solutions to high professional standards.
  • Ambitious colleagues who expect much from you and want you to succeed in your role.
  • An international work environment with good learning and growth opportunities.

What we look for

As our colleague, you bring the following capabilities and experiences:

  • Degree in communication, business, IT, or related field.
  • Senior-level communications professional with 10+ years of experience, including jobs in similar communications positions, preferably within the IT space.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing an effective leadership and change communications strategy and plan.
  • Great collaboration skills as well as drive and energy that motivates and inspires.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills in English and Danish.

Want to know more and apply?

We will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the position and your options in STARK Group. You are welcome to contact PA to the CDIO Elisabeth Bertelsen on or CCO Kaspar Bach Habersaat on for any specific questions regarding the role.
