Scanner Software Developer for next-gen 3D scanner solutions DK

3Shape's solutions are disrupting traditional dental workflows by replacing physical impressions of patient teeth with highly accurate, high-resolution 3D scans and workflows. This provides patients worldwide with an improved customer experience, while giving dentists a wider range of treatment options, increasing efficiency, and allowing our customers to treat more patients.
We are looking for a software developer in R&D, who wishes to develop embedded software for 3Shape's top-of-the-range scanner systems. You will be part of an innovative and agile team that works in a stimulating environment in close cooperation with electronics, optics, and mechanical specialists.
As people we are social, open-minded and have an unusually good team spirit. Among the team's responsibilities is basic software for 3D scanner systems (wired and wireless). You will develop an in-depth understanding of our scanner systems to ensure our continuing position as a global leader in the dental scanner industry. Together with your team you will use modern tools and technologies like C++ 20 and onwards, C#, Python, Yocto, and GitHub Actions.

Your Role
Together with your team you will make sure that the full wireless scanner system stays ahead of the competitors. You will develop the next generation scanner system setting the bar for quality even higher. You will be part of a cross-functional team of highly skilled and top of the class colleagues that sets the bar for innovation high.
Your responsibilities
- You will assume responsibility for ongoing design and development of core components of the embedded software for our wireless scanner solutions.
- Develop optimized code for real and simulated scanners.
- Keeping up with, evaluating, and introducing new technologies for next generation scanners including adoption of AI.
- In close cooperation with software, electrical, optics and mechanical engineers, develop the next versions of our scanner.
- Contribute to a fun and professional work environment within the team and in the 3Shape family. We value humor and a positive spirit.
Your profile
- Educated as a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in electronics engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or equivalent.
- Good programming skills in an object-oriented language, preferably with experience in both modern C++ and C#.
- Great interest in, and a good understanding of, low-level software.
- Creative about making the solution and system work.
- Knows how to make it work in real-life.
- Mindset for quality, flexibility, creativity, emerging technologies, and for seeing priorities from a user perspective.
- Experience with Linux and Windows technologies.
