Interior Design co-worker, 37 hours per week, IKEA Aarhus
4 days ago
You care about making a positive impact in the world. You understand greatness requires thinking differently. An inclusive and accepting work environment is important to you.
A job at IKEA is so much more than home furnishings. Together, we work to make a better everyday life for the many. It's the perfect fit if you want to contribute, grow, and share. Join the team and start a better life for yourself.
Candidate ProfileAs our new Interior Design co-worker, you are a creative thinking person who is passionate about people’s life at home. Your knowledge, skills, and experience include:
- A design-based education and a minimum of 3 years of experience in visual merchandising, interior design, or art within home furnishing
- Experience in project planning and execution
- A deep passion, curiosity, and understanding of home furnishing and people’s life at home
- Creative thinking supported by commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics
- Actively seeking improved methods of working in a simple, lean, and cost-efficient way
- A practical hands-on approach to your tasks and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Experience with REVIT or similar is an advantage, but not a demand
As a part of the Store Interior Design team, you use your deep knowledge of people’s life at home and your high level of home furnishing competence to show many functional, beautiful, sustainable, and affordable solutions that are relevant to your local market. You also challenge and encourage many people to see their homes in new ways. Your tasks include:
- Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market
- Securing the complete implementation process; this includes planning, meetings with relevant stakeholders, and execution
- Applying your home furnishing knowledge to ensure up-to-date room settings and other store media that exceed our visitors’ expectations
- Stimulating and increasing interest in home furnishing by constantly showing new and inspiring solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently
- Using the richness of the IKEA product range to show distinct and different styles that appeal to many individual tastes and needs
- Reflecting the IKEA Brand identity by creating visual impact in all commercial, sales support, and co-worker areas
Where others see home furnishing products, we see smart solutions to create a better everyday life. With a great deal of passion, imagination, and brainstorming, we turn colours, textiles, and furniture into inspiring environments that excite, engage, and convince IKEA visitors that they can do it too
