Job Description
EU Product Manager - Customer RetentionType of Employment: Permanent
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)
Role Overview
At Circle K, we work hard to make things easy. Working within an industry ripe for technological innovation, our digital product team is tasked with ushering in new technologies to support the reliability, speed, and ease that millions of our customers depend on every day.
As a Product Manager, you will thoughtfully guide products from concept to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You’ll own the reimagining of our EXTRA loyalty program across Europe, breaking down complex problems into the experiential building blocks of massively scalable features. As one of the first hires to our EU loyalty product team, you will guide the evolution of our technical product development and deployment process, holding ownership across the product development cycle, from agile ceremonies with developers to roadmap reviews with senior leaders.
Who You Are
You’re a builder at heart. In every challenge, you can find a solution.
You build great products. In a role that demands both business and technical acumen, you independently work through ambiguity to drive prioritization of opportunities. You ground your decisions in the data and know where to focus your efforts.
You build great teams. As one of the first hires to our product organization, you’re a self-starter who is comfortable setting the pace. You’re excited by the prospect of fostering innovation, efficiency, and positive culture on a team that’s just getting started.
You build for the future. When setting direction for the short-term, you weigh the long-term impact of your roadmap across a complex, global organization. You can communicate how our work today will impact our digital maturity in the years to come.
What You Will Be Doing
Thoughtfully serve as a customer experience champion and a technology strategist to define the next generation of the EXTRA loyalty program and accompanying data-driven retention strategies.
Work cross-functionally with strategy, UX design, technical architecture, and engineering teams to write detailed front-end and back-end feature requirements, working with business unit leaders to communicate the value of the next generation loyalty program.
Work closely with the Director of Loyalty Technology and technical consulting partners to continuously prioritize development & optimize the software development lifecycle, ensuring the future program can scale efficiently across our European business.
Communicate timelines and guide expectations across technical and non-technical stakeholder teams, documenting key design decisions, directing UAT testing activities, and coordinating feature releases.
Lead SAFe agile ceremonies with a global team of in-house and vendor partners.
Collaborate closely with the Loyalty Analytics team to define, measure, and report on the key performance indicators of feature performance, customer experience impact, and business value.
Define how our marketing teams will use a new suite of CDP & journey orchestration tools in their CRM retention efforts, then develop training for these teams to learn the new tools.
What We Need
4+ years of product management and/or development experience building consumer-facing products.
Understanding of digital MarTech and retail technologies including but not limited to loyalty platforms, CDP/CTR, journey/campaign orchestrators, point of sale systems, payments processing systems, integration architecture, mobile backend, retail media networks, and analytics platforms.
Professional background or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a closely related field or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience leveraging qualitative and quantitative insights to plan and prioritize feature ideas.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to a wide range of audiences, verbally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively with remote teams, comfortable managing communications across multiple channels (email, Slack, Teams, etc.) and geographies to get people aligned and get things done.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Ideal Candidates Also Have
Advanced knowledge of agile development methodologies.
Strong technical testing and release management experience.
Experience working with agile planning tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Miro).
Experience leading development teams in a scaled scrum/agile environment.
Experience with API diagramming (e.g. UML).
Experience with cloud architecture, database management, and programming languages.
