The position

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Support Director to lead our Business Support function within our production facility. In the role you will lead, support & develop 5 teams and leaders with the following responsibilities: Supply Chain and Finance, Training and Document Management, Digitalization, Business Intelligence & Manufacturing Intelligence, and our process operator trainees. Additionally, there is a department assistant, and a LEAN Partner organized in the department supporting you and the organization. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the best business support for our factories and drive operational efficiency and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy Development & Implementation: Set and implement the strategic direction for business support processes across the area, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Lead the Strategic Aspiration process across the CVP area, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and continuous progress toward defined objectives.
• Business Support operations: Manage and develop your organization within your area of responsibility and ensuring close collaboration and great support to production. Sharing better practice and collaborating with the rest of the Business Support functions in PS API.
• Leadership & Management: Lead the department through other leaders, managing a team of 7 direct reports and app. 100 indirect reports, ensuring budget and people responsibility while fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
• LEAN: Drive a LEAN culture, develop your organization and employees on shopfloor and ensure continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Academic degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in a leadership role (including people management), providing executive business support to senior leaders.
• Experience with partnering, financial planning, reporting and performance management processes, and knowledge of business processes, systems, and industry requirements.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Fluency in English, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across the organization.

On a personal level, you have a remarkable ability to communicate with clarity and assertiveness along with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and negotiate at a strategic level. You demonstrate great cooperation skills, and your proficiency lies in fostering collaboration and ensuring active engagement among other employees. You are analytical and attentive to details, flexible, and able to work independently.

About the department:

You will be responsible for Business Support department in one of our production facilities in Kalundborg, Denmark. The department is app. 100 highly engaged employees divided in 5 different teams. Our main goal is to support our four factories with the best possible business support, within our areas of responsibility. We are working closely together with our colleagues across the factories and the central business support function.

API PP is a purification plant and is part of Novo Nordisk's production site in Kalundborg. We employ more than 550 people of different nationalities and educational backgrounds and run 24-hour production across 8 departments to produce Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) for patients around the world.
