Role Overview:
An international energy trading firm are expanding their gas trading team in Denmark. The European Gas Trader will trade in the European spot gas markets, focusing on short-term trading activities. This role requires quick decision-making, real-time market analysis, and the ability to optimize the gas portfolio to maximize profitability. The trader will work within a fast-paced environment and collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure effective trading operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trading Operations : Executes trades in the European spot gas markets, aiming to optimize the company’s portfolio while managing risk.
- Market Monitoring : Continuously monitors market conditions, price movements, and supply-demand dynamics to identify and capitalize on trading opportunities.
- Decision Making : Makes real-time trading decisions to respond to market fluctuations, supply disruptions, and other variables.
- Collaboration : Works closely with other traders, analysts, and operations teams to ensure seamless trading execution and effective communication.
- Reporting : Prepares detailed reports on trading activities, market trends, and performance, providing insights to senior management.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience : Possesses 2-5 years of experience in gas trading, particularly focused on European Gas markets.
- Market Knowledge : Has a strong understanding of European gas markets, including key trading hubs and platforms.
- Analytical Skills : Demonstrates proficiency in market analysis, with strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Communication : Exhibits excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively within a team and with various stakeholders.
- Adaptability : Able to perform under pressure in a rapidly changing market environment.
- Educational Background : Holds a degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.
