Inventory Coordinator

Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Orbex Full time

Orbex are looking for Inventory Coordinator to join our team in Copenhagen, to look after stock, goods management and flight parts control.

You will join our dynamic team in the Supply Chain on a permanent basis, working from Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week.

Orbex

Orbex is a leading micro-launch company with our Prime and Proxima launch vehicles being prepared to launch from Scotland. We are well placed to be one of the first operational micro-launch companies in Europe with over €158m/£133m of project financing secured, a number of customers signed up, launch licence application submitted, and backing from organisations including UKSA and ESA.

We are a rapidly growing company with staff located between our production and test facilities in Forres, Scotland and Copenhagen, Denmark. Working on cutting edge advances in rocket fuel technology, Prime's carbon footprint is up to 96% lower than comparable vehicles, leading to innovations in propulsion and tank structures. A state-of-the-art re-flight system means we can recover and reuse our technology, and innovations in separation mechanisms mean we leave no debris on orbit.

Having developed in-house production capability, we can 3D print complex engines, produce full-scale carbon composite fuel tanks, and have avionics and software testing labs in both Scotland and Denmark.

Based in Copenhagen, you will be right in the heart of this fast-paced cutting-edge company, using your skills to build a new launch vehicle for a buoyant commercial market.

Orbex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is working towards a more diverse workforce in the aerospace industry.

The Position

Your role may evolve beyond what is listed below and will include the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate with the Quality Group to facilitate the execution of all required inspection levels.
  • Schedule and manage large deliveries in relation to safe handling and space requirements.
  • Co-ordinate transportation between manufacturing and testing facility.
  • Maintain and update when required the stores/inventory process flows to ensure efficient operations.

  • Process Material Rejections and Non-Conformances and extract computer data for statistical reports.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate stores locations for the differing materials required.
  • General Housekeeping of Stock Areas.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Confident in working with an ERP software (we use Odoo).
  • Working and developing new systems and procedures.
  • Microsoft Office Applications (Excel and Word).

  • Strong planning and prioritising skills to manage multiple tasks throughout the day.
  • Must possess excellent people skills and a strong sense of urgency.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of BoM, route, and fundamental production planning concepts.
  • Background in warehousing, logistics, process, quality or manufacturing of high precision parts.
  • Track record of working with cross functional teams on project based activities.
