Position: Venue Manager

Type: Full-Time

Role Overview:

The Venue Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of one of our café locations, manage a team of talented staff, and maintain a high standard of customer service, cleanliness, and overall productivity. You will ensure our café operates efficiently and professionally, embodying our core values of quality and customer-centric service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and support the café team, ensuring a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Manage scheduling, assign stations, monitor performance, and address issues professionally.
  • Provide training and resolve workplace challenges, fostering a cooperative team culture.
  • Coordinate scheduling adjustments and manage sick calls on a rotational basis.
  • Ensure friendly, warm, and efficient service, consistently meeting customer experience standards.
  • Promptly address any service issues or complaints with professionalism and empathy.
  • Oversee station assignments to maintain smooth customer flow and engagement.

Operational Efficiency & Coordination with Bakery:

  • Maintain appropriate stock levels, place orders, and ensure stations are fully stocked throughout shifts.
  • Ensure café cleanliness, organization, and readiness, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Work closely with the bakery team, liaising with bakery management to coordinate shared spaces and ensure efficient workflow.

Compliance & Standards:

  • Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards, ensuring all staff comply with policies.
  • Ensure adherence to dress code, phone use, and workplace standards consistently.
  • Maintain daily communication with upper management and report any significant issues promptly.

Administrative Duties:

  • Check and respond to emails sent to all three café locations, including handling refunds, customer requests, and other inquiries.
  • Manage emails regarding private orders, coordinate with the bakery team to confirm feasibility, and communicate orders with FOH staff.
  • Handle any issues with private orders as they arise.
  • Address issues with wholesale B2B partners and communicate with FOH and bakery as needed.
  • Record sell-out times of products in a spreadsheet.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (at least 1 year) in leadership and management in a café, hospitality, or similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage, motivate, and train a team effectively.
  • Passion for the industry and genuine care for customers and staff alike.
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills for working in a shared venue.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management abilities.
  • Commitment to providing top-notch customer service and creating a positive atmosphere.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and make quick, sound decisions.
  • Eye for detail and initiative to implement procedures as necessary.
  • Valid visa to live and work in Denmark.
