About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Heimstaden Group Legal & GRC in Copenhagen. As a key member of our centralized legal function, you will play a critical role in supporting our strategic goals through expert legal and business advice and risk management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, M&A, and transactional work, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a law firm. Experience in real estate is an advantage but not mandatory.

As a collaborative and entrepreneurial individual, you will be responsible for providing critical legal support across corporate and strategic investment activities, ensuring seamless execution of legal processes within the Heimstaden Group.

You will work closely with our stakeholders to deliver high-quality legal advice, manage joint ventures, and provide guidance on governance, risk, and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Corporate: Corporate Law, Asset Management, and corporate structuring, strategy, and corporate housekeeping
  • Investment and financing: Work and advice within M&A and investments, including project management, drafting, and negotiating transactional documents
  • Shareholder matters and board work: Shareholder management, including preparatory work for the Board and general meetings
  • Governance, risk, and compliance: Advice on and assistance within governance, risk, and compliance work, strategically and on implementation
