Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Københavns Universitet (KU) Full time

Unlock your potential as a Senior Research Fellow in our vibrant research group at Københavns Universitet (KU). We invite applicants for a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship focused on spatial analysis of the tumor microenvironment.

The project is part of a broader research initiative that combines cutting-edge technologies like spatial transcriptomics, live tumor microenvironment imaging, and CRISPR screens to gain transformative insights into cancer biology. This ambitious project has received funding from The Novo Nordisk Foundation.

About the Position

We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a strong background in molecular biology and single cell- or spatial transcriptomics. Experience with CRISPR screens is a plus. You will join a collaborative team where you will develop and perform – along with our collaborators – spatial metabolomics, spatial transcriptomics, and single-cell sequencing of advanced 3D cocultures of human pancreatic cancer cells and associated stromal cells.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing research projects focused on understanding tumor biology through integrated data analysis
  • Collaborating with our research group to integrate physicochemical parameters obtained by live imaging of pH, lactate, and oxygen with spatial data
  • Designing and performing 3D CRISPR screens to identify markers of specific physicochemical tumor traits
About Our Group

We offer a dynamic research environment within the Department of Biology at Københavns Universitet (KU), Faculty of Science. As a member of our team, you will have access to excellent research infrastructure and technical support, enabling you to reach new heights in your career.
