About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Framework and Governance Lead to join our Ethics & Compliance team at Centrica plc. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the compliance framework and operating model are managed, maintained, and adhered to.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the implementation and maintenance of the compliance framework, policy library, and obligations register.
  2. Draft, review, and update compliance policies and procedures, ensuring accurate documentation of compliance tasks and decisions.
  3. Assist with compliance testing plans and periodic/trigger-based control testing.
  4. Support the compliance risk assessment process and communicate key updates relating to compliance reviews.
  5. Prepare management information (MI) for the Head of Ethics & Compliance and committee reports.
  6. Manage the compliance curriculum, ensuring all training is up-to-date and delivered to the business on time.
  7. Provide support for internal and external audit queries and assist with KYC file quality checks for the Financial Crime Team.
Requirements
  1. Experience gained within a compliance function, preferably in the energy sector or financial services.
  2. An understanding of the regulatory landscape (i.e. REMIT, MAR, MIFID) and experience of applying regulatory obligations to the successful execution of your function/team or role.
  3. An understanding of financial crime and Know Your Customer processes.
  4. Advanced computer literacy (primarily MS Office).
About You

We are looking for a compliance professional with a strategic, technical, economics, or legal qualification(s) and a problem-solving mindset who can utilize their strong written and verbal communication skills to successfully build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

We are a global organisation with offices in Aalborg, Copenhagen, London, Antwerp, Hamburg, and Singapore, and the team members are based out of different locations. We are looking for a pro-active team player who will be happy to travel frequently between the locations – circa 10% travel expected.
