We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated researcher to join our team as a Tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Biomolecular Sciences. The successful candidate will be part of our vibrant and collaborative research environment, contributing to the advancement of biomolecular sciences through innovative research and teaching.
Key Responsibilities- Lead research initiatives and secure external funding to support the development of a strong research program in biomolecular sciences.
- Teach and supervise students at undergraduate, graduate, and PhD levels, with primary course assignments in biochemistry and protein science.
- Disseminate research and scientific results to the public through various channels.
- Participate in departmental committees and other tasks as requested.
Applicants should have a strong background in biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, molecular biology, and/or structural biology, with a demonstrated ability to perform independent, original, and hypothesis-driven research at a high international level. The ability to teach a wide range of topics in biochemistry and cell biology courses at the BSc and MSc levels is essential.
At the Tenure-track Assistant Professor level, the position requires a positive publication trajectory in high-level, international, peer-reviewed ISI journals, as well as some personal research grants or a designated part of major grants. Research plans and publication records should demonstrate a clear potential for attracting external funding.
At the Associate Professor level, the position requires a considerable publication record in high-level, international, peer-reviewed ISI journals, as well as a track record of successful external research funding. Candidates are also required to have documented university-level competencies in delivering high-quality undergraduate/graduate teaching and must be able to explain and reflect upon their own teaching practice.
Terms of EmploymentThe position is open from March 1st, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff. Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
