Tenure-track Assistant Professorship in Economics

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Leader to join our team as a Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Economics. This is a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional candidate to contribute to the Department's research and teaching environment.

As a successful candidate, you will have a PhD in Economics or equivalent academic qualifications. You should also meet the University's criteria of academic merit. The six overall criteria apply for tenure-track assistant professor appointments at the University of Copenhagen, focusing on research, teaching, societal impact, organizational contribution, external funding, and leadership.

The general duties attached to this position include:

  • Research within the field of Economics, focusing on theory building, game theory, behavioral economics, and financial economics.
  • Teaching, supervision, and examination of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Knowledge sharing with the broader community.
  • Research and teaching management.
  • Raising external research grants.

A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, an aptitude for collaborative work, and a commitment to student learning, support, and experience.

This tenure-track assistant professorship is a six-year, fixed-term academic position involving both research and teaching. The successful candidate will be obliged to complete a teacher-training course and participate in all departmental activities, including examinations and administration.

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $85,000-$110,000 depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
