About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Digital Technology Engineering department. As the Head of Digital Technology, you will be responsible for empowering teams through digital innovation and optimizing the digital customer experience by ensuring the efficient and seamless operation of technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 3 functional leads and 20 employees in developing and implementing digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with Vattenfall IT and our Digitalization Team to ensure sound collaboration and alignment.
  • Maintain a product-focused mindset in the organization and support teams in agile ways of working.
  • Develop and manage capabilities to stay competitive, relevant, and efficient.
  • Actively promote technical authority to provide a value-driven business focus.
  • Apply a feasible and innovative disruptive arena, balancing risk and opportunities to enable business strategy.
  • Manage budgets and costs within the area.
  • Travel is expected, as the team is geographically spread across 5 locations in Northern Europe.
Requirements
  • An engineering university degree (M.Sc. or PhD) with relevant work experience, including leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • A positive mindset, with a "glass half full" approach to your work.
  • High motivation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to serve as a role model for our technical specialists.
  • The ability to lead in turbulent times.
