Chemical Pollution Expert for Arctic Environmental Research

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the field of environmental analytical chemistry, with a focus on Arctic pollution. This is a 2-year position that will be part of an established team studying chemical pollution in the Arctic.
The successful candidate will support our ongoing work in monitoring POPs in biota and air, as well as screening for CEACs in various matrices using target analyses and suspect/non-target screening techniques. The candidate will also contribute to new developments, such as analyses in new matrices, modelling approaches for identifying CEACs, connections to plastic pollution, and steps towards effect-directed analyses.
Responsibilities- Conduct advanced chemical analysis of environmental contaminants at trace levels
- Support QA/QC of chemical analyses
- Familiarize yourself with Arctic pollution issues
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals
- Ph.D. degree in analytical or environmental chemistry or a closely related discipline
- Experience with chemical analysis of environmental contaminants at trace levels
