Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Københavns Universitet Full time

The Terrestrial Ecosystem Analysis group at the Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management invites applications for a postdoctoral position onboard the VILLUM-funded project. We offer a two-year position to be filled by a highly motivated candidate with experience and interest in both technical and applied aspects of multi- and hyperspectral remote sensing and image analysis.

About the Project

Our multidisciplinary project focuses on quantifying emissions of biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOCs) in Arctic tundra using new remote sensing techniques developed from data collected from unmanned aerial systems, satellite data, and field work. The project will explore the implementation of multi- and hyperspectral imaging from unmanned aerial systems for surface classification/biodiversity assessment, estimates of photosynthesis, and plant stress observations in natural ecosystems.

Your Role

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills in written and spoken English who can work independently, has prior experience with computer scripting, and is responsible for a project work package in collaboration with the project PI. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to conduct research within geosciences and/or computer vision.
