About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Fiber Planner to join our team. As a key member of our fiber planning department, you will play a crucial role in crafting and implementing long-term plans for GlobalConnect's network development.

Key responsibilities include managing existing expansions, ensuring submarine cables connect countries, and navigating through lengthy approval processes. You will also participate in meetings with our customers and work closely with our carrier business team to optimize the network and ensure compliance with all requirements and needs.

In this role, you will utilize mapping tools like GIS (SmallWorld, MapInfo) and network documentation systems to drive results-oriented strategic planning.

The ideal candidate is determined, positive, organized, quality-conscious, and service-oriented. Effective communication and written expression are essential. Proficiency in a Scandinavian language as well as English, both spoken and written, is required.

A comprehensive understanding of the costs associated with constructing fiber networks and prior experience in overseeing contractor procurement processes would be advantageous.
