About the role:

As a Senior Fiber Planner, you will play a crucial role in crafting and implementing long-term plans for GlobalConnect's network development. Your workdays will be characterized by dynamic collaboration with our international team. You will collaborate closely with your team and various partners across borders, with a primary focus on Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. While your workplace may vary, you will have the opportunity to influence and shape the future of the network from northern Norway down to Germany.

As a Senior Fiber Planner, you will be responsible for the high-level strategic planning of the fiber network. This includes managing existing expansions, ensuring submarine cables connect countries, and navigating through lengthy approval processes. You will also participate in meetings with our customers and work closely with our carrier business team to optimize the network and ensure compliance with all requirements and needs. In this role you will work with mapping tools like GIS (SmallWorld, MapInfo) and network documentation systems.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an individual who is determined and results-oriented. You should be a positive problem solver, organized, quality-conscious, and service-oriented. Effective communication and written expression are crucial for this role. Additionally, you are proficient in a Scandinavian language as well as English, both spoken and written. In this role, you are motivated to be part of the digital transformation and contribute as an important part of expanding the fiber network. Being proactive is second nature to you, and you find motivation in anticipating challenges and working with complex solutions.

To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates with previous experience with strategic planning of fiber networks. A comprehensive understanding of the costs associated with constructing fiber networks together with prior experience in overseeing contractor procurement processes would be advantageous to succeed in this position.
