The University of Copenhagen invites applications for a permanent, full-time position as Associate Professor in Environmental and Climate Economics.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the scholarship and intellectual life of the University by conducting world-class research and teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to develop the field of Environmental and Climate Economics in synergy with other fields and exercise academic leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research within the field of Environmental and Climate Economics.
  • Teach, supervise, and examine undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Share knowledge with society through various channels.
  • Manage research and teaching projects.
  • Raise external research grants.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The applicant should have significant experience in teaching Environmental and Climate Economics and sharing knowledge with society. Experience with computable general equilibrium environmental-economic models is an advantage.

Benefits:

The salary is approximately DKK 44,911 per month (gross), plus a 17.1% contribution to the pension scheme. It is possible to negotiate salary supplements annually.

The position is permanent, and we encourage applicants to acquire proficiency in Danish required to teach and interact with colleagues within three to six years. The department will cover the necessary language training.
