Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Department of Biology, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will contribute to our research on marine volatile interactions and emissions.

The position involves field and experimental work, as well as cultivation and molecular analyses of bacterial and phytoplankton communities. You will be responsible for lead-writing and co-authoring scientific publications, and have the opportunity to supervise MSc students.

We require a PhD in marine microbial ecology or a related field, with excellent analytical skills in molecular community analyses, aquatic microbial ecology, and cultivation of bacteria and phytoplankton. Experience with VOC measurements using GC-MS or PTR-MS techniques and multivariate statistics is an asset.

You will become part of the Center for Volatile Interactions (VOLT), led by Prof. Riikka Rinnan. Our center offers creative and stimulating working conditions in a dynamic, collaborative, and international research environment.
